We are a non-profit economic development organization devoted to providing rural economic and community development services in Southwestern Idaho. Our service area covers Gem County, Rural Canyon County along with dedicated services to the cities of Emmett, Greenleaf, Notus, Parma, Wilder and the City of Star located in Ada County. This collaborative effort is between these cities and counties and the Idaho Department of Commerce.

The Western Alliance for Economic Development serves rural Canyon and Gem Counties by providing economic and community development services. 

We offer a full range of services to help business and communities to be successful. Our services include Business Retention, Expansion and Business startup assistance. 

 

FUNDING PARTNERS

A board of directors, comprised of representatives of the cities and counties that we serve, along with input from our corporate and agency partners, governs us.

Our meetings are generally on the 4th Tuesday of every month starting at noon. Please check the agenda for location and /or zoom link for the next upcoming meetings.

The Western Alliance for Economic Development is a non-profit, membership based collaborative effort between the Idaho Department of Commerce, Canyon and Gem Counties as well as the cities that we serve: Emmett, Greenleaf, Notus, Parma, Star and Wilder. My funding partners also include corporate businesses such as Idaho Power and Intermountain Gas Company.
